Because there are many clients i want to make it possible that the user can filter this list using function keys (while the list is still on screen) using for ex f5.

I see what you need. In that case, I'd recommend you to use another kind of control where you have more flexibility, and also best prepared to handle larger data sets.

My preference for this are grids (you can also use a listbox ) into a form, but you can also use a browse.
