Hi,

I am having a problem selecting records in Crystal reports (Version 9.2) using Visual Foxpro data (Version 7.0) where the selection criteria uses a logical field that is contained in the CDX (index file).

As an example, I have a simple VFP DBC containing one DBF file, called table1. This DBF contains 2 fields :-
KNOWN_AS c(30)
ISACTIVE Logical

The CDX file contains 2 index tags - one for each field.
My Crystal report could not be more simple - it just shows both fields.

My problem is that if I preview the report, with a selection Criteria of table1.isactive 'is True' (or {table1.isactive} if viewed in the Formula Editor), I get no records displayed even although there are some. NB - same results for 'is False'.

As a work around for this problem, if I remove the 'isactive' tag from the CDX then the selection criteria works as expected. Also, if I go into File->Report Options and uncheck the option "Uses Indexes or Server for Speed" then I get the correct results.

The problem is that alothough I have a work around for the problem it is not an acceptable one to offer to my users. In our actual data we have quite a number of logicals which are indexed, so they cannot easily be removed. Also, I am reluctant to uncheck the "Uses Indexes or Server for Speed" as this would cause all reports to run slower.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a fix?

Thanks in advance,
Pauline Pearce
