I see your point, but if they need my application to USE their data files, why is it limited to need my application to backup and restore those files? I can't use Pkzip to restore my Quickbooks backups, or for that matter my Microsoft, Colorado, or Fastback compressed backups either. However, All things being equal, I think I would prefer to use a product that is Pkzip compatible? What product are you referring to? Does it run inside of VFP? Is it suitable for building custom interfaces with status bar feedback? Thanks for the feedback. (by the way, Quickbooks backup/restore is way too slow, I use Winzip!!)
