Currently, nobody knows.

However, Ken Levy has been very clear in the past two years (or have it been three years, already) that the development of VFP depends on the sales figures. If VFP 8 doesn't generate enough revenue, there's no business point in investing in a VFP 10 version.

Therefore, if you want to increase the chance of getting VFP 10, buy VFP 8 (or MSDN), if you haven't yet done so. Don't wait for VFP 9.
