Most specific advice I can give about NT is to regularly defragment the NTFS disk partitions -- Executive Software's Diskkeeper is my favorite, Semnatec's Norton utilities includes a defrag also, and I know there are others -- just haven't tried them. Second comment is have lots of RAM -- 64 megs is normally adequate for developing with VFP -- remember, today, RAM is "free", i.e. costs lots less than alternative approaches to performance improvement. IMHO: I like NT a lot for my personal development work, and these are the two points that made the biggest difference for me.
