hmmm...

this looks worryingly interesting. I can't find any immediate ref to my precise problem but I can see refs to problems carrying a vfp 6 vcx (which mine is/was) into vfp 8 (which I'm trying to do)...

also looks like some more generally interesting tips on class handling.
