I'm guessing that the only thing you're probably forgetting is that, with row buffering, as soon as you move the record pointer, the data gets written out whether you do a TableUpdate() or not.

I endup having to turn on table buffering before it will work write. I tried both pessimistic and optimistic row buffering and neither worked right.
