In Novell, it's a little cryptic, but you can tell if it is a record or file lock, and who has it on what table. This can all be done from MONITOR on the system console. Sorry for not getting back to you. I've been out for about a week. There are some good libraries that tie into networks (NetLib for one). Take a look at halogram's website for some options within VFP. I don't know what functions they have available for determining locks since I haven't used them since Fox 2.0, but I'm sure that the companies that make the libraries could supply you with a function sheet explaining what they have available. Guess I never thought of determining that within the application although it does make sense to have a administrative function to do that sort of thing.
