Unfortunately, I would be comfortable making assumptions from the ad based on my experience. True, I would expect for more information about intended future technologies to be used. But I would fully expect that the future technologies means something other than any form of Foxpro.

As someone who as a developer in a company, I saw many of these ads starting in the late 90s. When I inquired, I always got the same response...."You'll be maintaining a Foxpro app while it's being rewritten in...." And the response was always something other than Foxpro.

I would expect that if VFP was an acceptable alternative, the ad would also indicate the potential for the new recruit to help develop the new app.
