We have PB, VB, C..., Delphi, Paradox, VFP, FPW, etc. Depends upon customer / application as to which to use. PB is definitely 'Fortune 1000' based software as to its deployment. VFP is definitely PC - based, with current version 5.0 only available for the MS 32 bit windows platforms ( previous versions of Fox have run on Apple Mac and some versions of Unix. Economics comes into play as to "supply and demand" of the trained programmer pool, this translates into the remuneration for what is in demand. Choice is yours as to which to pursue. Most of the VFP developers with whom I have come incontact are independant, work for a small development company, or work in a "department" of a large organization -- rarely a corporate Information Systems employee.
