Hi,

A few months ago I installed Win XP Pro in my PC (before it was Win 2000 Pro), in both cases I was running VFP 8 SP1. Both Win OSs are portuguese versions.

I have the following directory structure for my applications:
C:\
   Pointer\
           FoxProgs\
                    System 1\
                    System 2\
                    System 3\
                    System 4\
                     . . .
                    System n\
Sometimes I need to find the occurences of a search string in all applications, let's say: in what .prgs appears the word "decimals".

For that I right click (in Windows Explorer) over C:\Pointer\FoxProgs and select Search. Next I fill the All or part of the file name: field with *.prg, fill the A word or frase in the file: field with decimals and press the Search button.

Nothing is found.

If I do the exact same thing, but with .txt files it finds the word I'm looking for.

It worked ok in Win 2000 Pro, but doesn't work in Win XP pro.

Any ideas on what it can be?

Thanks,

Fernando
