Great Greg, you turn the bulb on. I did have the class added to the Classes section. I took it out and the project now compiles. I wish the vfp help would address projecthooks better. help doesn't say how to do it, it gives all the reasons and some piddely examples. I guess thats why we got vfp7. I wish I could get my shop to upgrade. we have been using vfp6 since 1996..yuk

>It sounds like you have the Project Hook class added to the project as a file. It should only appear in the Project Info dialog, under Project Hook. If it is included in the Classes section of the project, VFP can not open it becuase the Project Manager has it open first. Remove it from the Classes section. It is only need during development, and not during run-time.
