The spacing is the #1 problem with this approach, which is why I discarded it.
However, there is another, somewhat similar, option. At least, I tried it in FoxPro/Win, but I am not sure whether it still works.
If you have access to FoxPro 2.x/DOS, try to create a report with it. Run the report directly from VFP, but don't modify the report with VFP, because that will convert it to VFP.
