Ken, I am being required to generate a nested XML document. I had thought that the hierarchical XML output from the XMLadapter would be able to do this which is why I was asking about how the hierarchical output is done, but from what I have read it can only do one table and then the next and so on.
So is the best bet to go back to basics and use DOM? That is what my manager is suggesting since I cannot do it natively. I was using VFP7, but the cursortoxml would only do a table format so the hierarchical XMLadapter output from the VFP8 documentation sounded like the trick. Can it be done using XML adapter? If so how.
If not can you point me to a good resource on how to do what I am being required to do.
