Perhaps I was a little vague in what I'm trying to do.

Firstly, I'm using "create sql view" to retrieve the correct record remotely from my SQL server. I want to know if there's a way that I can bind this SQL table directly to the live data, much in the same way as it'd work if you used MyRecord.MyField in the datasource property of an object.

So, in order to do this I'd need to lock the record on the SQL server, to prevent updates etc. Then, when I'm finished making changes, I can commit the changes or rollback, whichever is required.

Regards

Derek
