I use ? and ??, too. It gives me complete control over all the details, and allows me to do some things that would be difficult with the native report designer. Eventually, I did my reporting class, download #
9991, to eliminate some of the repetitive work (for instance, write a main loop to process all the details; compare values of expressions, and when they change, print headers; etc.). However, since any method can be overridden, you don't lose control of the details. You may want to consider it as an alternative.
