>I can say that's not correct. Kylix has been on the market for only 3 years. It was getting upgrades every six months for a while which caused me to leave. Borland wanted money for each upgrade (a lot of money). The current version is 3 and has been out for about a year. However, there is a rumor that Borland may drop the product - I have not confirmed this rumor.

My understanding is that Kylix has not had the success Borland expected. Those with a willingness to develop cross-platform solutions should look at wxwindows.

Borland is now sitting on the board of this open source framework that also offers an interpreter-based dev. solution, wxpython - check my other post.

MS runs the platforms. Despite the hype around dotNet including here on UT, dev. tools are a more open game. Developpers, as a profession, have A LOT to gain at this.
