Hi Cathy

If your client uses a Windows domain and server side profiles ask them once to test it on these boxes with different user logins.

I had kind of the same behaviour on one of my office boxes with W2K SP4 when I installed VFP 8 there. For me already VFP 8 SP1 crashed with a C5 after a quite normal install everytime I tried to run the IDE.

When nothing helped I did a complete reinstall of the box and installed then VFP 8 alone on it and it still crashed. Later I eventually logged in with a different profile and that solved the problem. So I can just guess that something in my former profile did cause that crash.

Maybe your client has a similiar problem.

It installed and worked fine on all the WinXP machines but a few of the Win2k machines are crashing immediate with a C5 as soon as they try to run the exe. We have lots of other clients using Win2k so we don't have any idea what's wrong with the Win2k machines at this client.
