John,

I seem to remember discussions where you have gone a little too far in my opinion, but fine, said is said and done is done. I wrote my last comments simply because I felt it was appropriate, nothing personal.

By the way, personally I am no VFP fanatic, I am always open to new technologies and new ideas. But I have learnt over the years to rush slowly , be patient and let thing mature. I have seen too much good stuff come and go over the last 30 years. How many millions of dollars did 'Big Blue' spend on OS/2? Compared to the size of the market and the value of the money, I guess they didn't spend much less than MSFT spent on dotNET. OS/2 was the future, Windows was a dead end. I have a friend who 'lost' five years in his belief that OS/2 was the future. I do not want to have the same experience.

>It is not so much that I require proof. Rather, in some cases, I simply ask the person to articulate how they arrived at their conclusion. In many cases, where it is obvious and in the domain of public knowledge, or if I happen to know the person is correct, I don't bother asking. i.e., I don't ask a person to substantitate something just for the sake of doing so...
