John. I accept that you are entitled to such an opinion. Opinions of course are by their nature short of the truth and, like butt-holes, everyone has one. I suspect, however, that to most people familiar with VFP your opinion here borders on the incomprehensible as the list of significant enhancements since VFP3 is impressive and has surely contributed to the continued use of VFP while so many other dev tools have fallen by the wayside.

However, to address your comment - MS have clearly not tossed VFP since they continue to enhance and develop VFP, as is totally self-evident by the continued release of new versions.

You accuse some members of being "fanatic", "rabid", "arrogant", "pathetic", "knobs", etc, for defending VFP. But are you not the other side of the exact same coin by fanatically taking the other view at each and every opportunity? There really is no difference between the accuser and the accused, is there?

Lastly as I read your post again I cannot help wondering what the MS VFP team themselves think about your comments. I think your comments denigrate and dismiss the efforts of what are clearly some very smart developers and people.

You clearly imagine yourself as a clever person John. But knowledge alone is empty and brutal like a rampaging bull. Without compassion to temper knowledge you will never have wisdom.
