John,

Again, you broke your promise not to respond.

>I'm proficient in VFP, SQL Server and Crystal Reports and could produce decent C/C++ code if I have to.

>Wow...your proficient in Crystal.... that is quite an accomplishment Walter... < bg >...

Not sure what you want to say with this... I've left the VFP report writer long time ago and used Crystal Reports from version 6.5 on. If you see the number of message I wrote here regarding crystal reports you'll see that my statement of beeing proficient in this is no understatement.

*IF* you dismiss crystal reports as a relevant development tool to put on your resume, think again. Reporting is one of the most important things in the development of database software. In any you look at it crystal reports is the market leader in reporting tools. I've identified that a long time ago. With the poor reporting capabilities found in the standard VFP report writer this really was the best choice. So you see, I'm capable of looking out of the VFP box, and no, I'm not exclusively looking into the VFP box.

Nowerdays there seems to be a lot of movement in the VFP side with regards to reporting. There are multiple 3rd party solutions and VFP9 comes with improved reporting capabilities. I guess I just sit back and watch what happens < G >.

>Please understand Walter that it is my impression that the rest of the world regards Fox as being obselete and ready for the trash heap. I never said I had that opinion.

That is your impression, not mine. Everywhere where I show up and talk about our applications this is not the case.

>So you see Walter, you are attacking me becuse of the impression I have with respect to how the rest of the world views Fox. And that Walter, is what makes you a Fox Knob.

JVP logic again. Your statement was: " at the fact that the other 99% of the development world (including MS itself) has tossed FoxPro onto the pile of irrelevant/obselete technology."

I see the word "fact", now you turn this into "the Impression I have". I'm currious what a judge will do when you use this practise at court. So must I conclude that "Impression I have" is equal to "fact" ? That pretty much explains my problem here with about all you VFP bashing.

You see, you proved again that your statments here presenting as facts are nothing more as products of your narrow view of the VFP world.

Walter,
