Hi Gerry. The concept of "this moment" does not imply that we have always been here, or have been, or that all things that have ever been are here. I have not said these things at all.

The concept of "this moment" simply means that all things that do currently exist do so in this moment. That does not mean they cannot change. They do change and they do so, again, in this moment. This moment is the only "time" in which anything can exist, or can come into existence, or can pass out of existence.

The idea I raised (not my own of course) is that we tend to believe in an objective time line extending from the past to the present and into the future. We think we exist somewhere along this time line and that the time line somehow exists as an objective "thing". I suggest that this is not so. I suggest that the idea of time is an illusion because we can remember a previous state, can see the current state, and can imagine a future state. But in reality I can only exist in this moment. The past is a memory and the future is in my imagination. The present moment is the only "time" there is. Its a point. This does not mean that things cannot change. They do.

As per specific points you raise:

>Can't ... I'm currently contemplating the theory that our minds are simply holographic projections of time and space.

These are your ideas and words. Not sure what they mean though :)

>You still haven't explained why we are here "now". You cannot just simply say that "why" is not "relevant" (ie. too philosophic).

I didnt say that the question of "why" is irrelevant. I said that it is a philosophical question which is not directly related to the topic of "time". Its a question of theology.

>If anything, your explanation eludes to us "always" being here (ie. immortal), but lacking awareness of the situation. Which leads to the case of "God playing hide and go seek with Themself" ...

No I dont say that at all. We are not always here and not immortal (I think). Clearly there are things which have been here but are no longer. That which is here, is here only in this moment. This moment is the only "time" that there is.

I bet you're sleeping now :)
