IMHO [Cancel] button means "abandon changes", [Okay] button implies "Save everything". I rarely code [Exit], except in the "File" menu pad, per MS guidelines, but even there I follow the MSWORD paradigm -- if they have an open browse / grid / form, I ask if they want to save their work. Again, the customer who pays the bills is always right -- sometimes they need some cajolling, exhorting, feedback, or as I said the first time "Conversion to a new line of thought".
