I have been trying to install a Foxpro application on a network.

The file server is Novell 4.11 (Intranetware for small business).
The client is Window 95 using the latest Novell 32 bit client.

When the application is started, it immediately falls in some kind of loop that involves infrequent but furious I/O on the client C drive (Windows 95 is installed locally). even though the app is started from the network drive.

Sometimes it ends with a 'Disk Full' message for a file called C:\Windows\Temp\nnnnnnnn.tmp (where n = integer).
The only way out is to reboot and clean up TMP files.

The application works fine when installed and run locally on a Netware attached workstation. (ie. Client C drive)

The package provider says that I must set Files = 255 in the Net.cfg file. Such files (shell.cfg) disappeared with the advent of VLM's.

Should Foxpro work in this environment ?
Are there any special settings for the Client ?
