For almost all my queries on my back-end data source (SQL Server 6.5) I fire stored procedures, passing them parameters so that they bring back the smallest result set possible.

However, on queries that take while, I get a WAIT WIND in my Fox app saying, "Executing remote, press ESC to cancel" or something similar to that. I don't really want my users to do this. Is there a way that I can swtich this message off?

Even better would be if I could display a progress bar for the query. If anyone knows how to do this I would love to hear from them, on the other hand, if it's just not possible, could someone please tell me so that I stop trying to figure out how to do it:-)
