I put in another .ASP page (together with all other required files) to the "Program files\dotcomsolution\AVFPdemo2\wwwroot" folder and it ran successfully from there. I have setup the virtual directories manually a few times on other machines and they worked fine.
example:
avfpdemo2 - c:\Program files\dotcomsolution\AVFPdemo2\wwwroot\
avfpdemo2r - c:\Program files\dotcomsolution\AVFPdemo2r\
