I just tested at another Windows XP Home terminal, and it works properly. So it must be something specific on my machine that causes the problem and has nothing to do with the code.

I remember having installed long time ago PC Anywhere, which messed up some parts in the registry. I uninstalled it and I had to repair some graphic drivers. This may be the cause?
