I am using Castelle with a client of mine. Sent over 60,000 faxes out the last year from withing VFP without one call from the client regarding any problems with it. Using 1 port small business version.

For attachments you will need the program installed on the local computer that created the document type such as Word Excell etc. Faxpress will use that program to rasterize(format it so it can be sent as a fax) the document. For PDF we used Adobe Acrobate Writer although there may be other options for PDF. The company had already owned Abobe Acrobat and so it was the logical choice to use.

The help from Castelle is very poor when it comes to the developers kit etc. I don't know about the hardware support as we have never has to call them as it has been up every day since Sept 2002.

That is, will the fax software convert the PDF file so that when it is received by the receipent it will appear as though the original document was processed by a fax machine?

>If so, that would be great!
