Without getting into a lot of semantics (although I think I'm up to my waist at this point <>), I think it matters from a technical standpoint because if I use the Whidbey group's personalization in my site as-is (with MDB), then use a web stress test tool, Jet will crumble under n users (5? 10?), where VFP won't. Googling for info on Access and multiuser stress in web apps gives almost as many hits as Janet Jackson and the Superbowl. :)

Steve, I think you may have missed the point. Just because Jet will crumble under the load of 5-10 people - it does not translate into people running ot VFP. The logic people will follow, including those at MS, is that if Access cannot handle it, SQL Server is the next logical step.
I am not saying you are incorrect - you are not - from a technical standpoint. You know, it is not that VFP is purposely not chosen, it's that it is not even on the radar screen. It is worse than being ignored - it is irrelevant.
Your other poins are well-taken.
