>>I understand from a number of sources that the FBI and CIA warned the White House about the possibility of aircraft hijackings and no action was taken. At the same time the FBI failed to do very much even though they had names and locations of the individuals involved with knowledge these were dangerous persons.
>>
>>Historically, one nation attacks another for whatever reason that can be imagined. A pre-emptive strike is unusual in that no physical action from the country being attacked has occurred. Where is Osama ben Laden? What new groups of terrorists have been created due to actions taken by the United States against Afghanistan and Iraq? Are we or anyone in the world safer today? I think not.
>
>I do think we are safer, although definitely not completely safe by any means. I heard or read somewhere that approxmiately 2/3 of Al-Qaida's leadership is either dead or in custody.

>As far as Iraq goes, will there really be any more enemies now than there were before the war? If so, for what reason?

>>The Axis of evil includes two other countries, Iran and North Korea. What should be done about them? Perhaps we should become like Sparta and draft all males to fight wars.
>
>North Korea will be very tricky, although I don't think Iran will be nearly as much trouble. Anyone notice how Libya is changing their ways?

>>The administration had many voices and concepts about why we were going to attack Iraq. Perhaps the plan, if there was a plan, was to voice many opinions and different members of our society would agree with one or more of them. You could thus have a greater number of individuals agree with the plan to attack Iraq. Now those same persons in the administration are changing the rationalization for such actions as have been accomplished.

>>We have surely opened Pandora’s Box and this topic has not really begun to take hold. As Chairman Mao Zedong wrote in his book about Gorilla Warfare, “As long as there is one Gorilla, there is war”! Change the word Gorilla to Terrorist!
>
>As I have asked others, what is your solution? Should we not have attacked Afghanistan or Iraq?

Since you asked...

If I were President, I would simply nuke the bastards! Why fool around with one country at a time and send in men and women when we can simply push a button and have the problem evaporate? If people did not agree with me I would have them eliminated.

I would only allow one country to have nuclear weapons – us! If you want to truly protect the American way of life be proactive. None of this pampering Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other countries will be on my agenda.

When I am through the only nation remaining will be the United States – the most powerful nation in the world. I will then begin checking into each of our residents and citizens to see how loyal they are. Those that are not loyal or whose loyalty is questionable will be dealt with immediately with no mercy.
