Basically the argument put forth : book sales may be low due to the difficult purchasing process. Furthermore, if Whil made a better online purchasing system low sales may no longer be a problem.
I agree that Whil's web site is a pain to navigate. However, I've purchased five books from his site. The technical value of the books I ordered were worth the effort.
Acquiring new technical knowledge is much more important than the additional two or three minutes of work required to buy a Hentzenwerke book.
I know four other developers who've purchased books from Hentzenwerke and web site navigation/purchasing difficulties were never a consideration.
Instead of trying to twist one's mind into a pretzel of rationalizations I take Whil's statements at face value. The VFP market is shrinking, thus, he can no longer sell as many VFP books as he could four years ago.
Whil attempted to sell his books in bookstores.
