Last year I was doing testing of the VFP 8.0 at MS. One of my assignments was to do a performance test of VFP. In do so, I had to do comparison between the various version of the VFP. I discovered that VFP 7.0 was about 150% faster then 6.0, and 8.0 was about 170% faster then 6.0. Even though, most of these tests involved post 2.6 feature, the test where designed to test the core of the product, not the features.
