You can simulate a "viewport" onto the image by using shape or container controls around the image. As long as they are over the image in the zorder you can "contain" your image to some part of the form. This would also ease your pan function because all you have to do is change the .Top and .Left of the image.

>David. In fact, this was just what was needed. So I now have a basic ZOOM using the VFP control and i've added pan functions. It would be good if one could CLIP the image area on the form having increased the dimensions like this - thus containing the zoomed portion in a discrete area.
