Please can someone tell me how to make it possible for a VFP6 application to be able to accept and display Chinese strings?

I am using English Windows XP, I've added support for East Asian languages, I have an IME for entering strings, not that I understand a stroke of it!!

I used a web-based translation service that did something useful, but when I pasted their string into a textbox, I got question marks instead...

I've also tried using a RTF control, but that also showed the ? instead of the Chinese symbol.

At the moment, all I need to be able to do is show a prototype of storing data, later on I'll need a report with Chinese labels.

I suspect it's a codepage issue, but how do I set this?
