Both PostgreSQL and Firebird are free, even for commercial applications.
MSDE the same, freely redistributable for applications written in VFP (not only, of course).
I choosed Firebird because is small, robust and fast, has native windows version and is feature rich.
Its installer has command line switches to be installed silently to target computer. The same is possible for ODBC driver.
The new 1.5 version is RC9, it will become the final release in one week, in case of no bug reports.

Better to test before you make any decisions, IMO.

>Between Firebird and PostgreSql wich of them you recommend? Wich of them is most easy to distribute with my package (we use Installshield do distribute our software) and wich is totally free?
