Yes, I read your post above. I know my concept of time is way to simplistic, and I don't have a background in science other than high school chemistry, and college zoology.

I don't think time has a speed dimension. Time is the flow of the universe without any point where it stops, freezes, etc. If time progressed in steps rather than as a constant flow, then at some point the flow stops and time would not exist until the net step.

Although time itself, to me, dosen't have a speed dimension, speed is an important conponent of time. Time is rather the canvas in which change occurs. If time is the measure of change between point (a) to point (b), then objects traveling at the fastest speed contribute a greater change than matter traveling at a slower speed.

Time occurs regardless of the speed of article in space, whether the change is occuring at the speed of light, or very slowly, or even if certain item are not changing at all. No change would be odd, and would require some reference point, such a the center of the universe from which everything else radiated out.

It would also seem to me to depend on how you defined change, as at a microscopic molecular level, or at a larger level such a matter or light traveling through space.

To have a reference point as to when point {a} existed, if point a could exist in a contain flow, and when point (b) existed, we use our solar system. For example, point (a) could be the beginning of an earth year and point (b) could be the ending of the earth year. It's a pretty limited reference point considering all the variables involved in the flow of change between the two points.
