>I don't know Mark, unfortunately. Does he teach grade, middle, or high school? What's MITS, BTW?

I think he's a high school chemistry teacher these days.

Omygassh, you live in Albuquerue, work in computers, use a Microsoft product and don't know what MITS is (or rather was)???? Just kidding.

MITS stood for Micro Instrument Technology Systems (or something like that). Anyway back in the late 1970s, they produced a little product called the Altair (8000 I think). It was the very first, honest to gosh personal computer. They needed someone to write a BASIC interpreter for it and found a couple of kids from Harvard to do the job. You may have heard of them: Paul Allen and Bill Gates. Other than that, they weren't very important. :-)
