How can you expect some of the VFP experts around here to waste their time writing books that most VFP programmers do not buy? Based on the questions asked on the UT, most people here who ask questions do not buy the books.

David,
I just want to comment on one small statement in your reply... "Based on the questions asked on the UT, most people here who ask questions do not buy the books".
I don't think that you can link the two as you do here. I've bought lots of the books published by Whil and I've found every one of them informative and useful. BUT I am positive that many of the questions I've asked here have been 'answered' in at least one of those books. It's a question of remembering it's there, then it's a question of finding the book in the piles, then its a question of finding chapter and verse. It's sooo much easier to just pop in here and ask and get the answer within 10 minutes than to go through all that!
I bought the books that I did as much to help support the community as I did to learn. It was a small way to encourge Whil (and the authors) to continue his work. Seems to have failed miserably, sadly.
cheers
