I assume you mean a shrinking market for VFP books. IMO, the main problem is that VFP is too mature and there are lots of good books already out there. Also online forums and magazines like this also reduce the need of a VFP book. Esspecially when a language slowly evolves like VFP does now (because of its maturity) many people don't think it justifies for buying a new book. We can keep up with the technology easy enough.

I can only talk for myself, but besides the VFP handbooks (yeah the ones that came with VFP3 and 5) I only own one VFP book (an old Codebook). I can pretty much get all my information from the UT, WIKI and magazines as well. I dont think I'll ever purchase a book about VFP.NEXT and I doubt I'll be purchasing a lot of .NET books either. Finding your info in an electronic way via the internet or helpfile seems to be the most effective way for me.

As a result I think that intepretating the fact of whil not selling VFP books anymore of a shrinking VFP market is misunderstanding the real situation.
