I had the exact same reaction as you BUT, based on the words of others who loudly proclaimed the huge benefits of Intellisense, I stuck it out.

And I am delighted that I did!!

Best for me was that it reminds me of parameters that I simply forget about. Even if I'm not in need of the parameter right now, just having it shoved in front of me all the time improves my 'memory' enormously and I end up using the subject command/function sometime later exploiting the previously forgotten parameter(s).
