Whil really doesn't have to name names, it's quite likely that most of the people that have sent Whil letters, messages, emails, phone calls, etc did so in private and therefore shouldn't be named in response to your questions.

Whil is completely within his rights to do whatever he wants and use whatever tools he finds profitable for his business and his clients. They matter a lot more in the grand scheme of things than his current devotion to platform or dev tools.

I consider Whil a friend, he was the overall editor for my PTF-OOP book and I've known him ever since the Compuserve FoxForum days. I respect his decisions they don't require any more justification than he's already given.
