I know the feeling. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale and commuted to Boston TWICE a WEEK for almost a year. I was lucky I was done with the project right after 9/11 because getting though the airports takes 3 times as long now.

Lunch cost about $11 for a sandwich, a bottle of pop and a bag of chips. You can get the same thing out here in Phoenix for <$5. A "sit-down" lunch in a reasonable restaurant was $30 in NYC, and $10 here in Phoenix. I won't even mention dinner prices! Parking for up to 10 hours was $28, after 10 hours was $45 per day. Let's just say NYC is a wee-bit expensive.
