Seems to be you have some buffering on the base tables. Haven't played much with that - but I think if you have a view and buffering on the underlying table, once you tableupdate() the view, you'd need to do that with the table as well. Or just have no buffering on the table at all.

Give it a try - turn the buffering for the base tables off and see if it works.
