I subscribe to the international version, so I can not say for sure about the US/English version. For the international version the rule is to keep all DVDs which are interesting for my country (Norwegian and English mostly) and throw away all the other DVDs (or put them in a not so important plcae <s>). For all the DVDs I keep, when I get updates the updates always have a version number, and the new version always replaces the old completely. Like e.g. 0520.3 replaces 0520.2, 0520.1 and 0520. In total I have about 30 DVDs in the binder.
