>>>The news are talking all the time, during the last few days, about the Democrat primary elections in the U.S. Who can vote? Registered members of the Democrat party? Anyone interested?

>>I see Tamar already gave you the correct answer. I'll vote when the Democratic Primaries get to Florida next month (although it may be fully settled by then).

>If it is settled it makes a convention a tad redundant, doncha think? I guess it's the TV coverage that the parties are after?

In California we will vote on March 2. In past years we voted in June, too late to have any impact of importance. By that time the decisions had been made and people went through the motions of voting, often less than 50% or the registered voters turned out. Democracy in action! We get to vote (which some of us do) but what does it all mean? That could fill volumes!

One of the problems I see is the opportunity for attacks upon one candidate or the other during the next nine months. Add to that we may forget what the Democratic candidate looks like or what his platform is.

I have noticed GWB on the tele more often recently. In fact this year (which has just begun) he has been on that in the last three years.

What this nation needs is for Bush to be reelected and if there is still a world, then elect his brother Jebb for two consecutive terms.
