As for myself I'm looking at Java it - still runs on Windows (and very fast with the new 1.4.2 libs)along with Mac and Linux. It does require plenty of work in the UI but that's being addressed from third parties.

Doesn't using third party products really say: I don't know how to use this tool! If the developer cannot do it with the core interface, whats the advantage of doing something (he doesn't understand) with another layer of clock eating mush (that will not add to his understanding of the work product)?
