Terry,

I wanted to follow up with some additional information. MS has run some metrics on the reported Windows errors (I have no info on VFP errors). Some interesting things have been discovered.

- 50% of the errors are caused by non-MS software. Drivers are the biggest culprit.
- Of the MS errors, 90% are caused by 5% of the code.

This means that if MS can fix that 5%, the number of errors you get should decreae dramatically.

>How liberating! - thanks!:-)

>>You should always send the report to MS. The information is very valuable to the dev team to determine which bugs are more serious.

>>>Well - I guess it's time to earn my keep. Maybe later I will reinstall 8 and 8's SP 1. I don't send 99% of the "send report to microsoft" offers. I wonder if I am afraid to complain sometimes. Now I wonder why. Maybe it's not 8 - maybe I am just writing more intense code:) I have improved a lot since my last VFP 6 project.
