Hi Dave.

>>>I wonder what has been done to improve Stonefield, Web Connection, and Voodoo in the last two years? Or are the principles of these companies allowing their actions to speak louder then their words ever could? Are the principles spending part of their time serving a different market? I think they are.

Nope -- still working with VFP every day. We haven't add a ton of new features to SDT over the past couple of years (except support for auto-inc fields in VFP 8, which was harder than you'd think, and we'll be adding support for new data types in VFP 9) because it's a very mature product (first released in 1996) and I honestly can't think of that many new features to add to it.

Also, as Mark pointed out, our main focus these days is Stonefield Query, which is selling like hotcakes. Interestingly, the vast majority of SQ users had never heard of VFP, so we're introducing it to thousands of new people. In fact, I don't know how Cathy Pountney's Report Writer book sales are doing, but we recommend it to everyone who attends one of our "Advanced Report Designer" Webinars, so hopefully that gives her a couple of extra royalty bucks a month :)

So, you can't really make assumptions about what third party tool vendors are doing unless you ask them!

Doug
