but no updates and the same error.
In fact i can update without the top 0 clause.

Please dont tell me that i have to go the long ways i.e (make a #table on the server insert pks into it and then get the query make it updatable ot the scan .. endscan way)

i want to acomplish it with the shorter way if possible ?
