Yellow Journalism is sensationalizing news stories that have very little affect on our lives. There is so much going on in the world today - some pain - some good - but most of the coverage is about the likes M. Jackson, Janet Jackson, Kobey Bryant, Martha Stewart. How Mel Gibsons dad feels about his new movie. News has become entertainment, not information we can use to make a decision. The US media has become the proganda engine for mult-national corporations. I do listen to "college" radio and NWITV (CBC) for information.

The domican republic propbably has a good news service. Mexican News is [a lot] better quality that mainland US news! The foreign news services I have viewed are less biased and spend little time (if any) on gossip. I would watch Dominican news if they broadcast it here - but they'd probably bury high in the channels and only those with super-pak-premium cable would be able to see it!:)

Have you seen Micheal Mores movie, "Bowling for Columbine"? It asks some pretty interesting questions about American news.
